Holly Geerdes has established herself as one of the premier trial and appellate attorneys. She has extensive management and leadership experience in coordinating state-wide projects for professional legal development and research, having trained everyone from novice attorneys to veteran judges on legal practice and the law. Her highly successful legal career in state government has enabled her to develop and maintain close ties with both the State Legislature and the State Bar to improve the caliber of legal services.
Awards & Experience
Ms. Geerdes’ illustrious case victories further set her apart from most veteran attorneys throughout the state. In four consecutive years, from 2001 to 2005, she received the prestigious Case of the Year award in Georgia for her winning representations at the Georgia Supreme Court. She was also named Outstanding Young Lawyer in 2004 by the State Bar of Georgia in recognition of her accomplishments. She continues to contribute to the legal community through her numerous articles and publications and by serving on the boards of multiple Bar-affiliated organizations and adjunct professor at the local law school. Ms. Geerdes has also been appointed by the Georgia Supreme Court to serve on an advisory panel for new lawyers transitioning into private practice. In 2006, she was named one of Georgia’s top 14 attorneys under 40 by The Daily Report, the legal newspaper for attorneys and judges in Georgia. She was also named Super Lawyer voted by the legal community, attorneys and judges in the State of Georgia where only the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in Georgia are selected. Most recently, Ms. Geerdes was selected as top 100 trial lawyers in the nation by the National Trial Lawyers Association. Most recently she was named the top 25 most influential Asian American and on the blue ribbon panel of Super Lawyers to select the top lawyers in the nation. Ms. Geerdes is a sought-after attorney to lecture and train lawyers across the United States on domestic and international asset protection planning.
